Nutrition Educator (Part-time Project Coordinator)

Do you have a hunger for teaching healthy eating habits and lifestyles to local community members? Healthy Lincoln County (HLC) is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team! This position is part-time between 20 to 32 hours per week dependent on the right candidate's availability and the project work. Experience in community health education and familiarity with Lincoln County is a plus. This position collaborates with the HLC team, partners, and stakeholders from across Lincoln County.

The Project Coordinator will be responsible to implement the Maine SNAP-Ed program deliverables in accordance with project requirements. This position will develop new partnerships in the community to expand education programming, policy systems, and strategies as well as strengthen existing community-based partnerships and support the statewide marketing campaign. The Project Coordinator will partner with local school districts and youth-serving organizations to implement evidence-based nutrition programs.

Strong candidates will have an educational background, formal training, and/or experience teaching prescribed curricula; have familiarity with communities in Lincoln County; and experience engaging community members in related initiatives. This position will be required to keep detailed records for reporting and evaluation. The Project Coordinator will work independently, be well-organized, and possess a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Required:

* Bachelor's degree in public health, exercise science, nutrition, education or behavioral sciences preferred. Equivalent related work experience may be considered. Registered dietitian is a plus.

* Strong organizational skills and attention to details.

* Ability to manage and keep detailed records for reporting and evaluation.

* Strong collaboration skills and ability to engage and interact with stakeholders and the public.

* Experience using Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel

* Travel is required throughout the Lincoln County service area and occasionally to statewide trainings in central location in Maine (1-2 per year).
