Administrative Assistant II (Part-time)

Medical Care Development (MCD) is a global public health not-for-profit organization incorporated in the state of Maine, with a Corporate Division based in Augusta, Maine, a MCD Public Health (MCDPH) Division also based in Augusta, Maine that operates across the United States, and a MCD International (MCDI) Division based in Silver Spring, Maryland that operates in more than 15 countries in Africa, Latin America, and Asia.

Founded in 1966 as a physician-led initiative bringing higher quality health care to the rural population of Maine, including emergency medical services and academic medicine, its current focus in the United States is on public health programming that spans and connects population-based and individual health care improvement. MCD expanded into international public health starting in 1977 with the creation of the International Division. Since then, MCD has evolved into a worldwide public health organization recognized in the US and globally for excellence and commitment to the communities we serve. We are currently looking for an Administrative Assistant II to join our team. This position will primarily support the MCD Public Health Program Manager-Team Leader and assist the staff at our Healthy Lincoln County (HLC) office in Damariscotta. This is a part-time, non-exempt position working 20 hours per week.

They will be responsible for a broad range of administrative functions, preparing correspondence and reports. He/She will be responsible for taking meeting minutes, preparation and coding of invoices, create and maintain databases, coordinate arrangements and logistics for meetings, seminars, trainings. In addition, they will interact with key internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Required:

* Associates or Technical degree or an equivalent of education and experience ( A combination of three (3) years of education, training, and/or experience in health, public health, social service, or related field).

* A high work standard, be adept at setting priorities, and anticipating needs.

Excellent interpersonal skills; able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

* Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

* Must have a valid driver's license and transportation.

* Local travel required around the State of Maine.

Projected start date: Immediately
