Project Coordinator, Food Security Community Connector
32 hour/week position with room to grow!

Healthy Lincoln County (HLC) is growing and seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team! The role is a 32-hour position with some flexibility in hours, and the ability to grow. Based in Damariscotta, with flexibility for some working remotely. This position is focused on building community support, capacity, and food access in Lincoln County. This position will convene and collaborate while using assessment, outreach and education, to engage with the food security partners to develop a community atlas of food resources in the county, while working to identify and fill gaps in the food system. The ultimate goal of this project is to provide more people with more food. This mission-driven work is meaningful and fast-paced. In collaboration with other staff, the Coordinator will also participate in overall HLC project activities and reporting. This individual will be responsible for coordination of work plan activities, grant reports, communication/marketing materials, quality improvement, and integrate the findings from data into organizational operations. The Coordinator will also be responsible for working on business development activities related to the project. In addition, the Coordinator will interact and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders.

A strong candidate will be able to follow a workplan, but adapt and respond to community needs as they arise. Much of the Project Coordinator’s work involves building rapport and engaging with community members, therefore, applicants must relate well with co-workers, external partners, and the public.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:


• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 4 years relevant experience required.
• Prior experience implementing food security initiatives and understanding of Lincoln County.
• Prevention Specialist Certification preferred. A willingness to pursue certification required.
• Strong organization skills and the ability to meet required deadlines.
• Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated cultural competence are essential.
• Ability to understand and interpret data.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher).
• Competencies consistent with those identified by the Public Health Foundation Council on Linkages as Level I and II.
