Project Coordinator - Summer Meals Program (HLC)

Healthy Lincoln County (HLC) is seeking a seasonal Project Coordinator to join our team to lead our growing summer meals program, coordinating a system to provide free meals to kids all summer long. This rewarding position is based in our Damariscotta office and spends a lot of time in the community, working April to September, 32-40 hours/week. This position collaborates with the HLC team, and partners from across Lincoln County. This position requires organization skills, flexibility, enthusiasm, and multi-tasking! The Project Coordinator will coordinator work plan activities for HLC’s Lincoln County Summer Meals program, develop and maintain detailed work plans to identify project goals and objectives, as determined by program requirements, obligations to grants and funders and identified needs. He/she will assure completion of activities and deliverable as outlined in grants or contracts, complete and submit funding and grant reports, develop and use process and outcome evaluation tools to document measures of success, and track day-to-day expenses and work with the Program Manager to assure project expenses are appropriate and allocated correctly.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in health-related field or an equivalent of education and experience.
• Assist in business development activities to support the project’s sustainability, such as fundraising, or developing new grant proposals to secure financial support for the projects.
• Recruit, train, coordinate, and support a network of meal site coordinators to support implementation of project’s goals and objectives
• Develop and implement communications and marketing materials, working with the Program Manager to ensure strategic and coordinated use of media channels, as well as culturally competent and evidence based practices to ensure literacy and comprehension for the target audience
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the projects, including but not limited to schools, law enforcement, community recreation agencies, and other partners.
• Negotiate for the use of community assets and resources through MOUs and other formal and informal agreements
• Apply basic human relations skills to internal collaborations, motivation of colleagues, and resolution conflicts
• Integrate the findings from quantitative and qualitative data into organizational operations
• Implement organizational and system-wide strategies for continuous quality improvement
• Interpret demographic, statistical, programmatic, and scientific information for use by professional and lay audiences.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, and other program as necessary)
• Competencies consistent with those identified by the Public Health Foundation Council on Linkages as Level I and II.
