Maine Senior Drivers Coalition

The Maine Senior Drivers Coalition (MSDC) is a collaboration of partners from across the spectrum of Maine's service and governmental sectors united to address the needs of Maine's elder drivers. MCD Public Health worked with the MSCD during 2011-2012 to develop and implement a training program for medical clinicians. This training prepares medical providers to assess the safe driving abilities of seniors, and provides resources for engaging in the difficult conversations for patient and family when individual skills and abilities begin to challenge a patient's ability to drive safely.
